Operational Security (OpSec)

June 11, 2026 | Online

The strongest encryption in the world is useless if a developer leaks a private key on Slack or a password is taped to a monitor. OpSec is about the "human and process" side of the security equation. In this intensive one-day session, we switch perspectives. By learning to think like an attacker, you will identify the "digital breadcrumbs" your team leaves behind and learn how to sanitize your workflows to prevent social engineering and data exfiltration.

This event took place on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

One-Day Workshop: Practical Cybersecurity for Teams

Module 1: Thread Modeling & Footprinting (2.5 hours)

  • Defining your "crown jewels" – Identifying and prioritizing your most critical data assets.
  • OSINT techniques – What can an attacker find about your team online? Understanding your digital footprint.

Module 2: Communication & Workflow Hardening (2 Hours)

  • Securing the CI/CD pipeline – Addressing the "Shadow IT" problem and protecting the software supply chain.
  • Zero-trust principles – Applying "never trust, always verify" logic to daily operations

Module 3: Incident Response & Countermeasures (2.5 Hours)

  • Identifying "canary" tokens – Setting up early warning signs to detect unauthorized access.
  • Developing a "blame-free" security culture – Fostering an environment where reporting vulnerabilities is encouraged.
