State of AI - online (free event)
Cognitive Services, A.I. and Machine Learning
Markus Egger
In this installment of our State of .NET Online series, Markus Egger takes a close look at the state of AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning), and Microsoft's Azure Cognitive Services (including visual image recognition, among others), all from a .NET developer's point of view. Today, intelligence is part of almost all software projects and it is hard to imagine software that could NOT benefit from these technologies. This session will provide an introduction into this exciting new world and how business application developers can take advantage of it.
This event took place on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

We've created a series of State of .NET online events each focusing on a specific .NET topic. This installment covers machine learning, AI, and Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
Join Markus Egger (EPS Software President, Chief Software Architect and Microsoft Regional Director) as he continues our online series with his “State of AI” presentation.
Topics covered in this event include:
- An overview of AI and machine learning
- AI/ML for .NET developers
- Azure Cognitive Services
- Decision service (such as anomaly detection or personalization services)
- Language services (translations, text analytics,...)
- Speech services (speech to text, text to speech,...)
- Vision services (computer vision, custom vision, face detection, form recognizer,..)

Attendees will come away with an understanding of how to approach AI/ML for their own business applications. In modern software, it is hard to imagine programs that DON'T benefit from these new capabilities. This session aims to provide a starting point and an overview for developers who want to gain an understanding for how AI/ML can benefit their projects, and how to get started.
Note: Only registered attendees will receive the live stream URL via email the morning of the event.
