Steve Lasker


Steve is a Program Manager at Microsoft working to empower developers to enable their occasionally connected users. For Visual Studio 2005, Steve was on the Visual Basic team working on many of the data design-time features for building client applications including the Data Source Window, DataSet Designer, Object Binding, and enabling SQL Server Compact for usage across all Windows operating systems. For Visual Studio and SQL Server 2008, Steve focused on SQL Server Compact 3.5 and working with an extremely talented group of people across the company, led the design for Sync Services 1.0.


Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve was a technical architect with an early Internet eCommerce company before moving to a consulting firm building Web, client, and device applications for corporate customers. With an engineering background in the remote broadcasting industry, Steve lived the life of the mobile workforce where he gained his passion for the occasionally connected user.
