Presenter: Markus Egger

This event took place on Saturday, March 3, 1900.

Where:   Onsite at Microsoft Corporation, 2000 W Sam Houston Pkw S, Houston, TX 77042 or remotely via GoToMeeting
When:    Tuesday, March 3, 2015
Desc:      An in-depth lecture style training covering Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Spend a day learning about SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) . Attendees of this class will not just learn how to use SOA to a point where they can immediately start to build applications based on these techniques, but they will also be able to evaluate the impact of these techniques and technologies on their future development efforts. This comprehensive 1-day class starts at a beginner level, but quickly moves beyond theory to enable attendees to learn how to write real world SOA & WCF applications. Attendees will get to see many real-world examples that showcase the benefits of such systems.

The training class will be held in Houston, Texas as well as online via GoToMeeting.  After the class, attendees will receive the PowerPoint slides, the code samples and videos of each class as reference materials.

This session will introduce the core concepts and ideas behind SOA and show some
examples of architecture that use it successfully. This is then followed by a discussion
of what WCF is and how it supports the SOA principles.

service interfaces using techniques and technologies such as SOAP, REST, TCP/IP,
and more. This includes a discussion of the SOA approach vs. simply using service
technologies such as WCF for remote communications (as is the case with RIA Services
for instance) and scenarios where non-SOA services are useful. This session covers
